Zimbabwe Democracy Trust

The Zimbabwe Democracy Trust was a voluntary organisation whose aim was the development of democracy in Zimbabwe. Interactive Bureau provided ZDT with a powerful communication tool that persuades supporters to join and help promote the cause.

The look of the site was crucial in presenting a level of conviction to visitors, some of whom might have been initially unaware of ZDT's activities. We built an easy to use content management system to facilitate daily news updates and also sourced an editor who managed the content on a daily basis. The quality of the site was hailed and it was a runner up in the British Press Awards in 2001.

Our Web strategy included a registration system that enabled visitors to subscribe to receive regular news and make donations via a secure server facility. Separate Press registration encouraged media support and interaction. The site's referral function helped visitors spread word of the campaign to others.
